Asthma

Asthma affects about 14.5 million Americans, including roughly 5% of adults.  It is already the most commonly experienced, chronic childhood illness, afflicting 5.5 million youth under age 18.  Based on trend data from CDC, the numbers of persons with asthma could double again in the next 20 years.  According to NIH (NHLBI), asthma management is falling far short of established goals and poorly controlled asthma symptoms cause hospitalizations, emergency room and urgent care visits, sick days and activity limitations that lead to a much lower quality of life than need be.  You are essential to how this disease is managed here in Central Ohio.
